wHAT WE DID
Dotted Eighth helped our client turn an idea into a media-rich digital experience for listeners and website visitors.
OUTCOME
Our recommendations led to the development of a feature-rich, user-friendly, branded online platform that connected listeners and visitors with classical music content.
SITUATION
When a non-profit producer and syndicator of classical music radio programs wanted to create a music streaming service, Dotted Eighth was engaged to help refine their vision and develop a roadmap to launch.
Initially, our client intended to build a streaming music player from the ground up. As they began pursuing the idea, the production timeline and associated development costs were becoming prohibitive. The client needed help reshaping their initial idea into a viable, achievable, and cost-effective solution.
During discovery, we conducted a comprehensive needs assessment, identifying the client’s core goals and priorities. We found that the client’s main goal was not the streaming player itself, but an online platform where visitors could interact with multiple forms of digital content, such as playlists, podcasts, and blogs, in a branded user experience. Our roadmap shifted from building a streaming music player to developing a website that would leverage existing digital content delivery applications.
As we developed the site architecture, we chose industry-leading digital content delivery solutions that worked seamlessly with the client’s WordPress website. The end result was a feature-rich, user-friendly, branded platform that the client is able to maintain and update internally.
